SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the northeast.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-24, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 30 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the North and South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 20, but in the open of the North Adriatic possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear. In the open sea variably cloudy with a little chance of light scattered rain.

Moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to near gale force, NE winds. Sea slight, toward the open of the North and South Adriatic up to moderate. In the open sea of the North Adriatic, toward the Italian coast, a chance of fog. Mostly clear. In the open sea variably cloudy.
