SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from the European land is intensifying over the Adriatic.

NE winds 6-16, gradually strengthening to 12-24, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic during the night up to 30 knots. Sea 2-3, locally late in the day and during the night up to 4, mainly in the open of the North and South Adriatic. Visibility 10-20, in places today possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the open of the North Adriatic. Mostly clear, but in the open sea variably cloudy.
