A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 6-16, gradually strengthening to 12-24 knots late in the day. Sea 2-3, late in the day possibly up to 4. Visibility 10-20, but in places possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the extreme northwest of the Adriatic. Mostly clear with some more cloud and a very little risk of light scattered rain in the open sea.

Mostly clear with some more cloud and a very little risk of light scattered rain in the open sea. NE winds further strengthening to moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force. Sea smooth or slight, locally up to moderate, mainly in the north and in the extreme south of the Adriatic.
