SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-26, in the North Adriatic 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 22, easing to 2-8, in the extreme south of the Adriatic to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, locally at first up to 4, calming to 1-2, in the South Adriatic to 2-3, and in the extreme south 3-4. Visibility 20, but in places of the North Adriatic possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the extreme northwest. Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic fair or mainly cloudy with a very little chance of rain or drizzle.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North and Central Adriatic gradual cloud increase with a very little chance of light scattered rain in the North Adriatic. In the South Adriatic mostly clear. In places of the North Adriatic fog, mainly in the extreme northwest. Calm or light NE and NW, in the extreme south of the Adriatic at first still moderate to fresh NE winds. Sea calm or smooth, in the South Adriatic at first smooth or slight.
