A LITTLE RISK OF FOG PATCHES DURING THE FORENOON, MAINLY IN THE EXTREME NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC. LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and E WINDS 35-45 KNOTS EXPECTED DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A weakened cold front is approaching the Adriatic from the northeast, while a ridge of high pressure from the west is still weakening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

W and NW, along the coast variable winds, 4-10, in the open sea during the forenoon up to 14 knots, turning in the evening to NE and E. Sea 2-3, along the coast 1-2. Visibility 10-20, in places around 4 km due to mist, during the forenoon possibly even less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the extreme north of the Adriatic. Variably cloudy with a chance of light scattered rain, mainly toward the open sea late in the day.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to fresh, in places briefly up to strong NE and E winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the North and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate. Variably cloudy with a chance of light scattered rain toward the open sea. Cloud breaking up in the South and along the coast of the Central Adriatic in the second part of the night.
