TODAY IN THE SOUTH, AT FIRST IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AS WELL, STILL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and N WINDS 35-40, IN THE EXTREME SOUTH UP TO 45 KNOTS, AND SEA IN THE OPEN UP TO 5.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending from the northwest, while a weakened front will be shifting north of the Adriatic during the night and tomorrow.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW, in places along the coast NE winds, 8-18, in the open, south of Istria, up to 22 knots. In the South, at first in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, NE and N winds 18-26, in the extreme south up to 32 knots, easing in the evening. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 3-4, in the extreme south 4-5. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear, but cloud increase is expected late in the day and during the night. Air temperatures a little higher.

Moderate to fresh NW, in places along the coast light NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate. Partly clear with occasional cloud increase.
