SYNOPSIS

A shallow field of low pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a weakened frontal disturbance is shifting across the northern part further northeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 10-20, in the open sea up to 24 knots. In the North Adriatic SE winds 6-16, west and north of Istria variable winds up to 12 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20, but in places reduced to around 4 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with a chance of light scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. In the wider area of Rijeka a chance of heavier rainfall.
