SYNOPSIS

A low over the Gulf of Genoa is expected to deepen and to shift across the Adriatic eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 12-24, in the North Adriatic up to 28 knots. In the North Adriatic wind turning toward the end of the day to NE and NW, in the rest of the Adriatic to SW, in the Central Adriatic later on to NW and strengthening to 16-32, in places briefly during the night up to 36 knots, mainly toward the open sea. Sea increasing to 3-4, toward the open during the night to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably and mainly cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, particularly through the night.
