ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC. LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and NW, IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC OF SE WINDS, 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS. SEA POSSIBLY UP TO 5 IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A low with frontal system lies over the South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 10-20, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots. Elsewhere SE winds turning to NW 8-18 knots. In the extreme south of the Adriatic SE winds 12-24, at first up to 32 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open possibly up to 4, in the South Adriatic up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the South Adriatic.

Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Precipitation dying out along the coast of the North, then of the Central Adriatic, and cloud thinning and breaking up. Light to fresh NE and NW winds, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic strong and near gale force, and in the South Adriatic possibly up to strong SE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the South Adriatic possibly up to rough.
