SYNOPSIS

A cold front is expected to shift across the Adriatic southwards, and a ridge of high pressure to intensify from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North, then in a part of the Central Adriatic, NE winds strengthening to 12-26, in the North Adriatic up to 32, in the Velebit Channel up to 38 knots. Elsewhere SE and SW winds 10-20 knots, easing later on. Sea 3-4, in the North Adriatic possibly up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Clearing is expected in the north of the Adriatic late in the day.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. In the rest of the Adriatic the skies will clear up. Moderate to strong, in the North Adriatic up to gale force NE winds, gradually easing to light to fresh. Sea slight and moderate.
