LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS STILL POSSBILE TODAY. IN THE NORTH, IN THE EVENING GRADUALLY IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC, GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW UP TO 80 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A weakened cold front is shifting further eastwards. A ridge of high pressure is intensifying toward the Adriatic from the northwest, while a shallow low will stay over the Tyrrhenian Sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds gradually strengthening toward the end of the day to 14-28, in the Velebit Channel up to 40 knots. In the Central and South Adriatic variable winds gradually becoming NW 4-14, then NE, which will strengthen during the night to 12-28 knots. Sea 1-2, toward the end of the day 2-3, and increasing during the night to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy and warm with a little chance of rain, showers and thunder. Clearing is expected along the coast late in the day and during the night.

Strong, in places up to near gale force NE, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force. Sea slight and moderate. Mostly clear, only in the southern part and in the open sea variably cloudy with a chance of rain.
