SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough with frontal system is shifting from the South Adriatic eastwards, while a field of raised air pressure is expected to intensify.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 6-16, in places in the Velebit Channel still up to 20, rapidly easing and becoming variable winds 4-12 knots through the day. Sea 1-2, in the South Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel still up to 3 this morning. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear, but in the extreme south of the Adriatic still variably cloudy this morning.

Calm or light variable winds, becoming light to moderate SE and E in the second part of the night. Sea smooth. Mostly clear, but moderate cloud increase is expected later on.
