ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL FROM THE MIDDLE OF NIGHT LOCAL GUSTS OF NE, IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC OF SE WINDS, 30-40 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening, while a trough with frontal system is approaching from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE, in the open sea SW, turning in the North, then in the Central Adriatic as well, to NW winds 10-20 knots. In the North Adriatic overnight NE winds 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing in the extreme south of the Adriatic to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated thundery rain showers, but clearing is expected in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic through the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Clearing, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic at first still rain, showers and thunder. Light to fresh NW, in the South Adriatic at first moderate to strong SE winds. Along the coast of the North Adriatic light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel up to fresh NE winds. Winds are expected to ease and die away toward midday. Sea smooth or slight, in the South Adriatic up to moderate at first.
