SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or light NE, in the afternoon calm or light variable winds 4-12 knots. In the extreme south of the Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in places in the morning up to 20 knots. Sea 1-2, in the extreme south of the Adriatic 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places 2-10 km due to mist, in the North Adriatic possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear, but gradual cloud increase is expected in the North Adriatic.

In the North Adriatic mainly cloudy, from the middle of the night scattered rain, firstly in the extreme north. In the Central, then in the South Adriatic as well, moderate cloud increase. A chance of mist, in the North Adriatic of fog. Calm or light variable winds, tomorrow before the morning light SE. In the extreme south of the Adriatic light to moderate, at first still up to fresh NE winds. Sea calm or smooth, in the extreme south of the Adriatic possibly up to slight.
