SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high is spreading from the north over the Adriatic while a trough is filling up in western Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Still in the beginning calm or with NE wind 4-12 knots, then SE wind intensifying to 6-16 knots. In the afternoon in the North Adriatic, late in the day also elsewhere SE wind intensifying further on to 10-20 knots. Sea 1-2, intensifying to 2-3, late in the day and at night 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, then in the course of the day fine to fair, late in the day in northern part of the Adriatic more clouds and a chance of a bit of rain.

Variably cloudy, in northern part of the Adriatic with a bit of rain. SE wind intensifying to moderate to strong, from the middle of the night towards the open sea possibly also of near gale force while only in some places along the coast of the North Adriatic light to fresh NE and E winds. Sea intensifying to moderate, tomorrow early in the morning possibly also rough, mainly in the open.
