SYNOPSIS

A field or air pressure over the Adriatic is slowly intensifying, while a new low is expected to generate over the central Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly NW and NE winds 5-15 knots. Sea 2-3, locally in the extreme south up to 4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic gradual heavier cloud increase, then rain in places and a chance of isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate NE and NW, turning in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic to E and SE winds. In the Velebit Channel toward the morning NE winds strengthening up to fresh. Sea smooth or slight. Fair or mainly cloudy with scattered rain and isolated rain showers with thunder.
