ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, AROUND MIDDAY BRIEFLY UP TO 55, AND IN THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY 35-40 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance will be shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Variable winds 4-12, becoming gradually in the afternoon NW, along the coast NE, and strengthening to 10-20 knots. In the North Adriatic NE winds strengthening already in the morning to 12-22, in places briefly up to 28 knots, easing late in the day. Sea 1-2, gradually increasing to 2-3, in the North Adriatic around midday briefly to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with occasional rain and thunder, while heavier rain showers are likely particularly in the North Adriatic. Gradual clearing is expected in the afternoon, firstly in the North Adriatic. Air temperatures will drop a little.

Moderate, only in places up to strong NW and NE winds. Sea slight. Gradual clearing is expected in the Central Adriatic, and only partly in the South Adriatic, where scattered rain and isolated thundery rain showers are still expected.
