SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 6-16, in places up to 20, in the Velebit Channel up to 24, easing in the North Adriatic around midday and in the afternoon to 6-16 knots, and turning in the rest of the Adriatic to NW winds. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic this morning 3-4. Visibility 20 km. Fine or fair, in the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a chance of isolated thundery rain showers, mainly in the open sea.
