SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending from the European land toward the Adriatic, while a high level low over the South Adriatic is slowly filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or NW, along the coast during the night calm or NE winds, 4-10 knots. In the Velebit Channel and north of Istria NE winds 6-12, in places up to 16 knots. Sea 1-2, in the Velebit Channel and north of Istria possibly 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a little rain in places or isolated thundery rain showers, mainly along the coast and in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon. During the night mostly clear, only in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic with some more clouds and with a little chance of a little rain or isolated thundery rain showers.

Calm or light NW, along the coast NE winds. In the Velebit Channel and north of Istria light, only in places up to moderate NE winds. Sea calm or smooth. Mostly clear, only in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic with some more clouds and with a little chance of scattered rain or isolated thundery rain showers.
