SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending from the European land toward the Adriatic, while a high level low still lies over the South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the Central Adriatic variable winds 4-12 knots. Elsewhere NE 5-15, in the extreme south and in the North Adriatic up to 20, in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North, in the extreme south of the Adriatic during the night, possibly up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. In the North Adriatic fine or fair, elsewhere variably cloudy with a chance of isolated thundery rain showers, particularly along the coast in the afternoon.

Elsewhere light to fresh, in the Velebit Channel up to strong NE winds, easing toward midday. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south and in the North Adriatic possibly up to moderate.
