SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending from the European land toward the Adriatic, while a trough still lies over the South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW, along the coast this morning still NE winds, 6-16 knots. In the open sea in the first part of the day NW winds up to 20 knots. In the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic NE winds 12-24 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Fine or fair, but in the South and Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a chance of rain or isolated thundery rain showers.

Light to moderate NW, along the coast during the night mainly light NE winds. In the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic NE winds up to strong. Sea smooth or slight.
