ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-55 KNOTS. IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT GUSTS OF SE WINDS 30-40 KNOTS. SEA POSSIBLY UP TO 5 IN THE OPEN DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A trough with cold front will be shifting across the Adriatic southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure will intensify behind, and a shallow low will generate over the South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds strengthening to 10-20 knots. In the North Adriatic during the forenoon and in the Central in the afternoon, NE winds, strengthening later on to 14-30 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North and Central Adriatic increasing to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km, but in places it could be reduced due to rain. Rain, showers and thunder, firstly in the North, around midday in the Central, and in the afternoon in the South Adriatic as well. Clearing is expected in the North Adriatic from midday.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a chance of isolated thundery rain showers. Elsewhere rain, showers and thunder. Gradual clearing is expected in the Central Adriatic during the night and in a part of the South tomorrow. NE winds strengthening to strong and near gale force. In the extreme south of the Adriatic at first up to strong SE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the open tomorrow possibly up to rough.
