IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY ALONG THE COAST IN THE AFTERNOON.

SYNOPSIS

A field of raised air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while some unstable air is circulating in high levels over the southern part.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW, only in the Velebit Channel NE winds, 6-16, turning during the night all along the Adriatic to NE 4-12, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 16, and in the Velebit Channel up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20, only in places reduced to around 6 km due to mist. Mostly clear, but in the South and Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a chance of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly along the coast in the afternoon.

Light to moderate NW, along the coast during the night and tomorrow morning NE winds, in the Velebit Channel up to fresh. Sea smooth or slight. Mostly clear, but mainly along the coast of the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a very little risk of isolated thundery rain showers.
