IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL THIS MORNING AND AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A field of raised air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while some unstable air is circulating in high levels over the southern part.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 6-16 knots. Along the coast this morning still NE winds 4-12, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 16, and in the Velebit Channel up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear. In the South and Central Adriatic a chance of isolated thundery rain showers, mainly along the coast in the afternoon.
