SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is weakening slowly, while a shallow trough with weakened cold front is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or mainly NW and W, along the coast during the night NE winds, 5-10 knots. In the North Adriatic during the night NE winds 10-18, in the Velebit Channel up to 24 knots. Sea 1-2, in the North Adriatic during the night 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places around 5 km due to mist, and in the Central and South Adriatic during the night possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear, but partial cloud increase is expected in the North Adriatic late in the day.
