WARNING

A CHANCE OF FOG PATCHES IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC THIS MORNING AND AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT. IN THE EXTREME NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC LATE IN THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC IN THE EVENING GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 45 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is weakening a little, while a shallow trough with weakened frontal system will be shifting north of the Adriatic during the night and tomorrow.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or NW, in places along the coast NE winds, 4-10 knots. In the afternoon W and NW winds 4-12 knots. Sea 1-2. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 5 km due to mist, or possibly in the morning even to less than 1 km due to fog. Sunny and hot. Partial cloud increase is expected in the North Adriatic late in the day.

Calm or light NW winds. Sea calm or smooth. In the North Adriatic NE winds strengthening to moderate and strong, and sea increasing to slight, in the open up to moderate, spreading before the morning to a part of the Central Adriatic. Mostly clear. In the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a chance of isolated thundery rain showers, mainly in the extreme north.
