A ridge of high pressure lies over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 10-20, in places up to 26, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 30 knots, easing a little around midday and turning briefly toward the open sea to NW 8-18 knots, and strengthening again late in the afternoon. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. Sunny and hot.

NE winds mainly moderate, only in places still up to strong, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to near gale force. Sea smooth or slight, only in the open of the South Adriatic up to moderate. Mostly clear.
