SYNOPSIS

A trough with cold front is shifting from the South Adriatic further eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest.

NE, toward the open sea N and NW winds, 12-28, briefly up to 34, and in the Velebit Channel late in the day up to 38 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open possibly up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a chance of rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Elsewhere fine or fair.
