IN THE NORTH, DURING THE NIGHT ALONG THE COAST OF THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC, GUSTS OF NE, TOWARD THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC OF NW WINDS, 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough with cold front is shifting across the Adriatic eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 10-20, in the Velebit Channel 20-30 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic NW winds 8-16, toward the open sea 14-24, turning till the end of the day to NE 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open 3-4. Visibility 15-25 km. Variably cloudy with a chance of light scattered rain or isolated rain showers in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic. Cool.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Gradual clearing. Along the west Istrian coast light to moderate, elsewhere moderate to strong NE, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, toward the open up to moderate.
