WARNING

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY IN THE NORTH, LATE IN THE DAY IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL AND DURING THE NIGHT IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC. IN THE NORTH, TILL THE END OF THE DAY IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN PLACES UP TO 50, AND IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL DURING THE NIGHT UP TO 65 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the northwest and it will be shifting across the Adriatic during the night and tomorrow.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the greater part of the Adriatic calm, in the afternoon mainly SE winds 4-14 knots. In the North Adriatic NE and E, along the west Istrian coast briefly SE winds, 6-16, but NE winds expected to strengthen toward the end of the day to 12-24, in places up to 28 knots. Sea 1-2, in the northern part 2-3, increasing late in the day to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear. Gradual cloud increase with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder firstly in the North, late in the day in a part of the Central Adriatic as well.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force, and in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds. In the rest of the Adriatic light to moderate SE winds, turning from the middle of the night to moderate to strong NW, in places to NE. Cloud increase with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder from the middle of the night in the Central, till the morning in the South Adriatic as well.
