SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure over the Adriatic is gradually weakening, while a trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW, in places along the coast SW winds, 4-14, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to 18 knots, easing toward the end of the day and during the night. Sea 1-2, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon 2-3. Visibility 20-30 km. Mostly clear.

Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic tomorrow morning gradual cloud increase and a chance of rain or isolated thundery rain showers in the extreme north. In the North Adriatic NE winds strengthening to moderate and fresh, in the morning up to strong. Elsewhere calm or light SE winds. Sea calm or smooth, in the North Adriatic gradually increasing to slight, in the morning possibly up to moderate.
