IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC THIS MORNING AND DURING THE NIGHT, AND IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AT FIRST, A CHANCE OF GUSTS OF NE WINDS 30-40 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of the Azores high extends toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the open sea, from midday along the coast as well, W and NW winds 6-16, in the Central and South Adriatic briefly up to 20 knots. Along the coast in the morning NE winds 6-12, in places up to 16, in the extreme south of the Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel at first, up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the extreme south of the Adriatic today possibly 3-4, calming in the North and Central Adriatic during the night to 1-2. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear. Light to moderate, in the Central and South Adriatic at first still up to fresh NW winds, gradually easing and turning along the coast to light, only in places up to moderate, and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to fresh NE. Sea gradually calming during the night to smooth, only in the South Adriatic still up to slight.
