STILL A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TODAY. DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AND IN THE EXTREME SOUTH UP TO 50 KNOTS, EASING TOMORROW TOWARD MIDDAY.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough with cold front is shifting north of the Adriatic eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is expected to intensify from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 5-15, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 18, giving way to NE 10-20 knots during the night. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly along the coast. Clearing is expected later on, firstly in the North Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear. Light to fresh, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to strong NE winds, easing toward midday and turning to light NW. In the extreme south still light to moderate NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, possibly up to moderate.
