SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure extends over the Adriatic from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 8-18, easing during the night and turning again along the coast to NE 4-14, only in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 22 knots. In the Velebit Channel NE winds 8-18, in places up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3, calming during the night to 1-2. In the open of extreme south of the Adriatic sea 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear and hot.

Along the coast mainly light NE, in the open sea light NW winds. Only in the extreme south of the Adriatic and locally in the Velebit Channel NE winds moderate to strong. Sea smooth, in the southern part up to slight. Mostly clear.
