SYNOPSIS

A field of a little raised air pressure over the Adriatic is weakening slowly. A cold front is expected to be shifting across inland further eastwards tomorrow and a rige of high pressure to intensify from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or mainly NW, in the North Adriatic SW winds, 4-10, in the open of the North Adriatic during the night and along the coast of the South and Central Adriatic today in the afternoon up to 16 knots. Sea 1-2, locally up to 3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but along the coast still with a little chance of isolated thundery rain showers.

In the North Adriatic variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the extreme north. In the rest of the Adriatic mostly clear. In the North Adriatic before the morning NE winds, strengthening to light to moderate, south of Istria up to strong. Elsewehere calm or light NW winds. Sea calm or smooth, in the North Adriatic smooth or slight, and south of Istria toward midday up to moderate.
