IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS, EASING THIS MORNING. ALONG THE COAST OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON.

SYNOPSIS

A field of a little raised air pressure lies over the Adriatic and a high level low south of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Along the coast NE, toward the open sea NW winds, 6-14, in the Velebit Channel NE up to 22 knots, easing this morning and turning to NW. Sea 1-2, in the Velebit Channel and toward the open of the South Adriatic this morning up to 3. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 5 km due to mist. Mostly clear, but along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon variably cloudy with a chance of light scattered rain or brief isolated rain showers with thunder. Very warm and hot.

Mostly clear. Light, toward the open of the South Adriatic up to moderate, NW winds. Along the coast of the North Adriatic light to moderate NE winds. Sea smooth, toward the open of the South Adriatic up to slight.
