IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A field of raised air pressure lies over the Adriatic and a high level low south of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly NW and W, along the coast during the night NE, 5-15, and in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic NW winds up to 20 knots. In the Velebit Channel NE winds 15-25 knots. Sea 2-3, in the extreme south of the Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel up to 4. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 5 km due to mist. Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a chance of rain or isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mainly moderate NW, along the coast during the night and tomorrow morning light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel up to fresh, NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south of the Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel at first still up to moderate. Mostly clear with mist in places.
