LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE COAST OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AROUND MIDDAY AND IN THE AFTERNOON. IN THE NORTH, LATE IN THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC AS WELL, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure extends over the Adriatic, but a high level low still retains south of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 5-15, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 20 knots. Along the coast of the North Adriatic NE winds 10-20, in the Velebit Channel up to 25 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel up to 4. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear.

Mostly clear, but along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic around midday and in the afternoon scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Along the coast light to moderate, in the South and North Adriatic up to strong NE winds. In the open sea light to moderate, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to fresh NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the South Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel possibly up to moderate.
