SYNOPSIS

A field of equalized air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a ridge of high pressure is expected to intensify from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 4-12, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 16 knots. Along the coast during the night NE winds 4-14, in the Velebit Channel up to 18 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in places still variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly along the coast around midday and in the afternoon.

Light to moderate NW, along the coast during the night and in the morning NE winds, in the Velebit Channel up to strong. Sea smooth or slight. Mostly clear, but mainly along the coast of the South Adriatic still variably cloudy with a little risk of brief isolated rain showers and thunder.
