SYNOPSIS

A field of equalized air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a ridge of high pressure is expected to intensify from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 4-8, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 10, strengthening to 4-12, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 16 knots. In the North Adriatic at first still NE winds 4-10, north of Istria up to 14 knots. Sea 1-2, in the South and Central Adriatic increasing to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in places still variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly along the coast around midday and in the afternoon.
