WARNING

LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS, GRADUALLY EASING DURING THE NIGHT. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY. IN THE OPEN OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT GUSTS OF SW WINDS UP TO 35 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the west and it will be shifting across the North Adriatic further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds strengthening to 10-20, in places in the afternoon to 26 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open around midday 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Fine or fair, but gradual cloud increase is expected in the afternoon, bringing rain and a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Strong and near gale force SE winds easing firstly in the open and turning to light to moderate SW and W, only in the northern part from the middle of the night SW up to strong. Along the coast SE winds gradually easing in the second part of the night. Sea slight, in the open up to moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic. Light scattered rain and a little risk of thunder expected in the rest of the Adriatic too.
