SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic, but it is expected to weaken gradually late in the day and a trough to approach from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SW, in the open of the South Adriatic NW winds as well, 4-14, in the extreme south at first still NE 6-16 knots. Toward the end of the day and during the night in the North, then in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, SE winds 6-16 knots. Sea 1-2, in the extreme south at first 2-3, and increasing in the North Adriatic during the night to 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central, then in the rest of the Adriatic as well, light to moderate SE winds, strengthening toward the morning to moderate and fresh, in places during the forenoon up to strong. Sea smooth or slight, locally in the open during the forenoon up to moderate. Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic during the day gradual cloud increase with rain in places later on.
