SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure has intensified over the Adriatic from the west, while a trough with front is shifting from the South Adriatic further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW, along the coast SW winds as well, 4-12, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic during the night NW up to 16 knots. Along the coast during the night mainly NE 4-10 knots. Sea 1-2, in the open of the South Adriatic during the night possibly 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in places along the coast in the afternoon increase of daily cloudiness and a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder.

Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic at first still fine or fair. Light, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic during the night up to moderate NW winds. Along the coast calm or light NE winds. Sea smooth, in the open of the South Adriatic during the night possibly up to slight. No significant change in air temperatures.
