A trough with frontal system is shifting across the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 30 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic SE and SW winds 6-16, in places of the South Adriatic up to 20, gradually turning in the Central Adriatic to NE, toward the open sea to NW winds, 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, but partial clearing is expected in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic late in the day and during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to fresh, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force, NE winds, gradually easing toward midday and turning to NW. In the South Adriatic at first still up to moderate SE and SW winds. Sea mainly slight. Fine or fair, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder.
