SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal system is approaching the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

S and SW, only in places along the coast SE winds, 5-15, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic possibly up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. Fair or mainly cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, mainly along the coast in the afternoon. In the North Adriatic during the night cloudy with rain, showers and thunder.

Overcast with rain, showers and thunder, and with a risk of more abundant precipitation, during the night and in the morning mainly in the North, then in the rest of the Adriatic. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds strengthening to moderate and strong, elsewhere light to moderate, only in places up to strong S and SW, along the coast SE winds, easing later on. Sea smooth or slight, in the South and North Adriatic possibly up to moderate.
