SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic, while some moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

N and NW winds strengthening to 14-28, west and north of Istria to 8-18 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open south of Istria 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a little rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, mainly in the first part of the day.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong NW winds, easing a little and turning to moderate to fresh NE, firstly along the coast and then in the open as well. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic up to moderate. Variably cloudy, still with a little rain or isolated rain showers at first, mainly in the southern part of the Adriatic.
