A ridge of high pressure is intensifying briefly over the Adriatic, while a trough with frontal system is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic calm or variable winds 4-8 knots. Elsewhere calm or NW winds 4-10, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 16 knots. Along the coast of the North and a part of the Central Adriatic this morning still NE winds 6-16 knots. Sea mainly 1-2, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic, and in the Velebit Channel this morning, 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear.

Gradual cloud increase, firstly in the North Adriatic. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic tomorrow scattered rain, firstly in the open sea. Calm or light variable winds.
