IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-50 KNOTS, EASING DURING THE NIGHT. IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC STILL A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON.

SYNOPSIS

A trough with weakened frontal disturbance is shifting further southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 8-18, in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots, easing toward the end of the day and during the night and turning toward the open sea to NW. Elsewhere NW winds 6-16 knots, in places along the coast during the night NE. Sea 2-3, locally in the North Adriatic during the day 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Fine or fair, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic at first still variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder. Clearing is expected toward the end of the day and during the night.
