IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF N and NW WINDS 35-40 KNOTS AND SEA IN THE EXTREME SOUTH UP TO 5, EASING AND CALMING DURING THE FORENOON. IN THE EVENING IN THE NORTH AND DURING THE NIGHT IN THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC, GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A field of low pressure over the Adriatic has filled up a little, but a new trough with frontal system is rapidly approaching from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic calm or E and SE, then SE and SW winds, 5-15, strengthening in the afternoon to 10-20, in the evening to 14-26 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE and NW winds 8-18, in the open sea NW up to 30, easing during the forenoon to 5-15 knots, and gradually turning to SE and SW. Sea 2-3, in the South Adriatic in the morning and in the North Adriatic in the evening 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Clear skies, but gradual cloud increase and scattered rain expected in the North Adriatic during the day and in the rest of the Adriatic in the evening.

Moderate to strong SE and SW winds. Sea slight and moderate. Variably and mainly cloudy with rain in places, in the North Adriatic with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder.
