A low with frontal system is shifting across the Adriatic southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 12-28, in the Velebit Channel up to 34 knots, easing slowly in the afternoon. In the South and Central Adriatic NE winds 12-28, toward the open sea N and NW 16-34, and along the coast of the South Adriatic at first still SE and SW winds 12-22 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic increasing to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong NE, toward the open sea up to gale force N and NW winds. In the North Adriatic NE winds gradually dying away and giving way to moderate SE and SW winds. Sea slight, in the South and Central Adriatic moderate, and in the open up to rough. Gradual clearing is expected from the west.
